Carers Telephone Support Service

After receiving funding from Perth and Kinross Council, PKAVS Carers Hub are delighted to announce the launch of a new carer’s telephone support service. Following feedback from local carers, a gap in services was recognised which led to the development of this innovative pilot scheme.

The service will be targeted at unpaid carers where the person they care for is aged 65 years and over. The aim of the helpline will be to provide regular contact for carers where they can talk about issues that they are facing as part of their caring role. A direct number is available which will let carers speak to someone who understand the difficulties and stresses carers face, allowing supports to be put in place as and when required.

Importantly, these regular calls will offer a friendly voice on the end of the phone, ensuring carers feel better connected, supported, and valued.

The service will run:

Monday to Thursday 9am – 6pm

Friday 9am – 5pm
